The innovation prize rewards Cybastion for financing digital infrastructure in Ivory Coast

Cybastion received the “Innovative Digital Transaction Award” at an awards ceremony and dinner in mid-July, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d'Ivoire (CCI-CI), in recognition of the financing structure supporting the US technology company's major digital infrastructure projects in Côte d'Ivoire.

The awards ceremony brought together U.S. and Ivorian institutional investors, business leaders and senior government officials to deepen their engagement and increase private sector investment and economic growth in the country.

The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) last year approved more than $100 million in financing guarantees for Cybastion and a consortium of U.S. technology companies to advance the construction of a national data center and export U.S. technology to digitize Ivorian government services.

The price, accepted by the CEO of CybastionDr Thierry Wandji, was presented during the awards ceremony on the sidelines of strategic discussions on the financing of the National Development Plan (PND) of Côte d'Ivoire 2026-2030. The National Development Plan lays out the country's roadmap to achieve upper-middle-income status by 2030 through increased private investment, industrial development and digital transformation.

The government of Ivory Coast is partnering with Cybastion on large-scale digital transformation projects to achieve key objectives outlined in the plan.

Florie Liser, President of the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA), accepted the awards ceremony on behalf of the organization.Bintou Kaboré Zerbo, executive director of the Institutional Investor Network, received the “Capital Mobilization Innovation Award”, recognizing the IIN's work on innovative financing mechanisms for sustainable development and inclusive growth. Cybastion is a member of the CCA and the IIN.
