ABIDJAN, IVORY COAST– American technology company Cybastion, in partnership with the American Embassy, ​​will organize a technology camp during the Easter holidays to equip young people across Ivory Coast with world-class digital and cybersecurity skills. This free technology camp will take place on April 17 and 22-24 in five American Spaces in Ivory Coast.

The DigiEmpower initiative, a partnership between US technology companies Cybastion and Cisco and the government of Ivory Coast, aims to train 200,000 young people across Africa by 2030. By 2030, Ivory Coast's workforce will need around 5 million workers with digital skills.

The technology courses offered by the Cisco Networking Academy will provide participants with practical, in-demand skills to prepare them for careers in the public, private and technology sectors.

Participants will be able to enroll in basic computer hardware courses, an introduction to cybersecurity, and an introduction to the Internet.thingsand digitization courses. Students will have the opportunity to take one or all of the courses during the holidays. Upon completion of the courses, students will receive Cisco certified digital badges to enhance their career opportunities.

  • American Space Alassane Ouattara University – BOUAKÉ
