Strong partnerships with African governments are essential to align national priorities with digital transformation projects to move countries towards digital sovereignty.
Ahead of the high-level US-DRC presidential roundtable on February 5United States Chamber of Commerce, Cybastion CEO Dr. Thierry Wandji met with H.E. Félix Tshisekedi, President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), for a private meeting on accelerating the country's digital transformation.
The private meeting, organized by the Chamber US-Africa Business Center, included senior Congolese government officials, President Kendra Gaither and Vice President Guevera Yao, as well as Nathanaël Bruneau, Cybastion country director for the DRC.
Dr Wandji emphasized Cybastion Digital Fast Track (DFT) Program, an accelerated roadmap for digital transformation, as a catalyst for realizing the country's digital ambitions and the importance of building a secure and resilient national digital ecosystem.
In September 2025, Cybastion launched Africa DigiEmpower, a digital training program in partnership with the DRC Ministry of Youth, and is expected to begin training sessions this year.
The meeting and business roundtable coincided with President Tshisekedi's official visit to Washington last week to advance the Washington Accords for Peace and Prosperity.
