Artificial intelligence is driving digital transformation and modernizing public and private services. AI offers African countries an opportunity to strengthen their countries' global competitiveness, optimize public governance and foster sustainable economic growth.
The Ministry of Digital Transition and Digitization of the government of Côte d'Ivoire hosted the National Conference on Artificial Intelligence on May 19 in Abidjan, to explore the exploitation of AI for sustainable development; establish regulatory and ethical frameworks; and build skills and capabilities in innovation and AI.
Andre Biyong, COO of Cybastion, participated in the panel “AI skills development: what efforts are being made to train the talents of today and tomorrow?” ”, where he explained how Cybastion strategically leverages AI at all levels of its digital transformation projects and equips young people with AI skills.
Biyong spoke about the collective role of the public and private sectors and the community in developing AI skills to ensure the continent is ready to play a leading role in the global digital economy.
“The fruits of digitalization are ready to bear fruit, but this requires significant efforts from public administrations and businesses,” Biyong said.
Cybastion is committed to equipping young people with the AI and digital skills needed to thrive in an AI-driven future. The #DigiEmpower workforce training program, a partnership between Cybastion, Cisco and the Ivorian government, has hosted AI technology camps across the country to develop fundamental and applied skills in artificial intelligence.
