THE CYBASTION INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Burkina Faso, proposed the creation of a Center of Excellence in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. As proof of the support of the United States, the Ambassador of the United States of America to Burkina Faso, Ms. Sandra CLARK, met with Professor Alkassoum MAÏGA (Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research). This project aims to train students in the field of cybersecurity for a year and a half for the master's degree and six months for the certification. The degrees will be accredited by American universities, and the Virtual University of Burkina will host a Center of Excellence which will open its doors with an initial enrollment of twenty-five students.
8 students undergo cybersecurity training
In September 2022, the CYBASTION INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY sent a cohort of eight students to North Carolina State University to participate in cybersecurity training where they learn about fundamental concepts and design principles in cybersecurity.
