Why Cybastion

At Cybastion, we build digital infrastructure that governments depend on, across eleven countries and counting. High bar, no room for failure — and a company still being built, which you help shape. International complexity, visible impact, real ownership. Benefits vary by country and are detailed during the recruitment process.

Financial Analyst. Ensure financial monitoring of the projects of the C‑Education subsidiary, prepare budgets and forecasts, analyze financial indicators, and support the preparation of financing files for infrastructure development projects in Africa. The Financial Analyst contributes to the financial solidity of the subsidiary and the mobilization of external resources to support strategic projects. In close collaboration with the Director of the subsidiary, the project teams, institutional partners and donors, this role is the financial anchor point of C‑Education: it ensures reliability of the figures on which investment decisions and access to external financing are based.

What this post is, and is not. Finance, this is not a general accounting or pure treasury position: it is an analysis, budgetary management and financial planning role, serving infrastructure projects in Africa.

What you will build

  • Financial monitoring of projects: dashboards, cost/margin/cash flow analysis, risk detection and alerts in the event of budgetary drift.
  • The subsidiary's budgets and forecasts: annual and multi-year budgets, rolling forecasts, consistency between project budgets and overall budget.
  • Financing files: identification of donors (EU, ADB, World Bank, bilateral agencies, etc.), financial analyses, business plans and projections in support of financing requests.
  • Financial reporting and analysis: profitability, ROI, NPV, IRR, analysis notes for the steering committees, regular reporting to the C-Education department and the Cybastion group.
  • Financial support for project teams: financial structuring of activities, guidance for strategic decisions, participation in project meetings.

Who we are looking for

Non-negotiable cultural profile: A rigorous and reliable person, capable of providing accurate figures within deadline constraints, comfortable with challenging financial hypotheses without losing sight of the operational field. Autonomy is essential,  this position requires managing several files in parallel without constant supervision. Credibility is built by the quality of the analysis, the clarity of written communication, and the ability to work with multicultural interlocutors (internal teams, international donors, institutional partners).

3 to 7 years+ of experience in financial analysis, management control or project financing. Proven track record in putting together financing files or budgetary management of complex projects. Analytical rigor and advanced mastery of Excel/financial modeling are non-negotiable. Professional English is an important asset alongside fluency in French. Experience on infrastructure or development projects in Africa is a plus. A Bac+5 degree in finance, economics, management or audit is required; a professional certification such as CFA, DSCG is an asset.
