WHAT:

Senior officials from the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) will join U.S. technology leader Cybastion and a consortium of U.S. technology companies at a press conference on September 22 to showcase bilateral cooperation and formally announce EXIM's first-ever approval of a $100 million financing guarantee for a national data center and digitalization project in Ivory Coast.

EXIM's Board of Directors approved more than $100 million in funding guarantees in August to support two major digital transformation projects: a$66 million guarantee on August 21support the construction of a national data center, anda guarantee of $47 million on August 14export American technology to digitize the Ministry of Finance and Industry.

As a leading exporter, Cybastion, together with potential US technology partners including Cisco, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Schneider Electric, among technology leaders, will modernize government services through digitalization and build a resilient digital infrastructure to advance the country's digital sovereignty.

Senior U.S. government officials will outline bilateral cooperation and relations between the United States and Ivory Coast and highlight how EXIM's financial support for digital infrastructure projects on the continent aims to strengthen U.S. competitiveness in strategic markets.

The head of the Ivory Coast government delegation is also expected to attend the press conference to make remarks.

The agreement is supported by EXIMChina Transformational Exports Program (CTEP)and will open new investment opportunities for U.S. companies in Africa’s growing digital infrastructure market.
