LIBREVILLE, Gabon— June 28, 2025 —His Excellency Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, President of the Republic of Gabon, today presided over the signing of a historic agreement between the Government of Gabon, the National Agency for Infrastructure and Digital Frequencies (ANINF) and the American technology company Cybastion.

Led by Cybastion, in partnership with Cisco, Citibank and EXIM, the agreement is part ofCybastion’s flagship Digital Fast Track initiative. The partnership places Gabon on a bold path toward achieving digital sovereignty through the development of a state-of-the-art sovereign data center, enhanced cybersecurity infrastructure and expanded access to digital tools, including a national digital identification platform.

The trade agreement was signed byHenri-Claude Oyima, Gabonese Minister of Economy and FinanceAndSenior Vice President of Cybastion, Scott Blacklin. Mr. Blacklin praised the vision of the Head of State, whom he described as a “builder committed to the sustainable transformation of Gabon”.

To meet the demand for a qualified workforce in the digital field, Cybastion, in partnership with theCisco Networking Academy, will train more than 1,000 Gabonese young people and women in digital skills to support the country’s growing digital economy.
