Dear friends,
As the year comes to a close, I would like to express my sincere thanks to our customers, partners and supporters around the world for your collaboration and shared commitment to advancing digital transformation throughout 2025.For Cybastion, 2025 was a defining year for our business, marked by significant growth, new partnerships and bold execution as we advance our mission to build resilient and sustainable digital ecosystems across Africa.
Here are some highlights from 2025:
- Launch of the digital accelerated procedure. This year we officially launched our signature Digital Fast Track Program, an accelerated roadmap that delivers sovereign data centers, secure digital and cybersecurity solutions, and digital workforce training.
- Adapted to new countries. We have expanded our presence in four African countries:Gabon, Guinea, Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola– and builds a powerful consortium of U.S. and local technology partners to accelerate world-class digital transformation.
- Achieved key milestones on digital transformation projects.Cybastion has started construction of the national data center in Ivory Coast and is progressing its efforts to modernize and digitize the Ivorian Ministry of Finance and Industry. Our digital transformation projects in Benin and Burkina Faso have reached key milestones and new projects will soon be launched in Gabon and Guinea.
- Presentation of THEYA Foundation, Cybastion's new philanthropic organization. In 2025, Cybastion launched the THEYA Foundation, a technology-focused philanthropic organization dedicated to advancing digital education and health innovations across Africa. THEYA Foundation administers the Africa DigiEmpower, an ambitious digital training program, which organized its first promotion in March in Ivory Coast.
- Training of thousands of young people thanks to Africa DigiEmpower. Since the first cohort in March in Ivory Coast, Africa DigiEmpower has provided online and in-person training through 12 Ivorian cities, equipping more than 10,000 young people and women with sought-after digital skills. For three months,1,824 young people participated in a Learn-a-Thon where learners were trained in AI, cybersecurity and networking. After a rigorous competition that resulted in 40 finalists, the winner was selected in mid-December. In 2026, Africa DigiEmpower will expand to Gabon, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Burkina Faso.
- Unveiling of the Tech Academy. The Cybastion Tech Academy in Abidjan opened its doors this year as a regional technology training hub. The Academy has achieved the distinguished designation of Official Cisco Networking Academy Partner and Academy Support Center, confirming Cybastion’s role in nurturing the continent’s next generation of digital talent.
Moving forward, Cybastion will continue to deepen collaboration, invest in building local capacity, and advance secure digital ecosystems that drive growth, innovation, and digital sovereignty. In an opinion article, I outlined a plan to expand U.S.-Africa partnerships to shape the continent’s digital and economic future. We look forward to continuing this work together in the new year.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
My best wishes for a happy holiday season and a prosperous New Year!
