Following the historic signing of a peace agreement between the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Rwanda on December 4, the Cybastion executive team participated in theUS Chamber of Commerce US-Africa Business Centerhigh-level dialogue with the private sector to advance investment opportunities in the Great Lakes region.
The high-level session,Washington Accords for Peace and Prosperity: Regional Economic Integration Framework (REIF) Forum and Private Sector Dialogue, aimed to create a strong investment environment to foster economic prosperity in the Great Lakes region. The REIF is a strategic framework for joint commitment to promoting peace, regional stability and sustainable economic development in the region.
The roundtables focused on translating REIF diplomatic commitments into concrete, investment-ready initiatives in key sectors, including energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, technology and workforce development.

The Democratic Republic of Congo highlighted its high-level political commitments to promoting peace and regional economic integration and creating an environment conducive to private investment in all sectors.
A panel of U.S. investors highlighted the need for long-term capital to support private investments and public-private partnerships that promote regional stability and shared prosperity in the Great Lakes region under the REIF.
Scott Blacklin, Cybastion's Senior Vice President of Government Affairs delivered the vote of thanks, on behalf of the U.S. private sector, at the conclusion of the trade dialogue.
