Gabonese President Brice Oligui Nguema has invited the U.S. private sector to explore investment opportunities in Gabon, citing his administration's commitment to improving its business environment and transforming Gabon into a regional business hub.
Speaking at the US-Gabon Investment Roundtable hosted on October 1 by the US-Africa Business Center of the US Chamber of Commerce, President Nguema said the roundtable symbolized a new era of US investment in Gabon and pledged to strengthen diplomatic and commercial ties between the Central African nation and the United States.
Key focus areas:
1️⃣ Strategic access to natural resources, particularly in the Congo Basin.
2️⃣ Support youth entrepreneurship and startups to stimulate innovation and empower women's participation in the labor market.
3️⃣ Expand technological and digital access and build a strong digital infrastructure.
Ambassador Vernelle Trim FitzPatrick, U.S. Ambassador to Gabon, highlighted Gabon's development progress and stressed the importance of strengthening U.S.-Gabon relations. Following the roundtable, Cybastion and the Government of Gabon signed an investment partnership agreement aimed at building a robust digital infrastructure that accelerates entrepreneurship, economic growth and the country's modernization efforts.
