Cybastion hosted a reception and dinner on May 13 to celebrate U.S.-Africa trade engagement and welcome delegates from American Chambers of Commerce (AmCham) from across West Africa.The evening celebration took place on the eve of the AmCham Business Summit, hosted by the US-Africa Business Center of the United States Chamber of Commerce and AmCham Ivory Coast, in Abidjan.
Senior leaders from the U.S. and African public and private sectors gathered to celebrate our shared commitment to strengthening U.S.-Africa trade ties.
Dr. Thierry Wandji, CEO of Cybastion, delivered the opening remarks and joined Kendra Gaither, President of the U.S.-Africa Business Center, in recognizing the strong presence of AmCham leaders from Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal, Nigeria, Guinea (Conakry), Mali and Cameroon.
Senior U.S. officials, Ambassador Jessica Davis Ba, U.S. Ambassador to Cote d'Ivoire, and Ambassador Troy Fitrell, senior bureau official, spoke about the United States' approach to expanding business and investment and making deals in Africa.
The Ivorian ministers present made brief remarks, includingHE. Siandou Fofana, Minister of Tourism and Leisure;HE. Nassénéba Touré, Minister of Women, Family and Children;HE. Sidi Tiémoko Touré, Minister of Youth Promotion, Youth Employment and Civic Service.HE. Emmanuel Armah Buah, Ghana's Minister of Lands and Natural Resources also attended the event.
